Study: Electric boost helps brain to learn better (AP)

This undated image provided by the Fried Lab/UCLA shows a brain MRI with an arrow showing where researchers applied deep-brain stimulation during tests on learning. A painless bit of electrical current applied to the brain helped some people play a video game, and someday it might help Alzheimer's disease patients remember what they've learned, a small study suggests. The game-players had to learn where particular stores were in a virtual city. They recalled the locations better if they'd learned them while current was supplied by tiny electrodes buried in their brains. That strategy may someday help people with early Alzheimer's hang on to many kinds of memory, suggested Dr. Itzhak Fried, a neurosurgeon at the University of California, Los Angeles. But 'this is obviously a preliminary result,'' he cautioned. Omega's for Health

MED MARIJUANA bhas developed a line of low-THC Cannabis Sativa products which have been used extensively in Canada since 2001. The products are provided as a Natural Health Alternative in the form of daily dietary enhancement.

Up until twenty five years ago we did not have a pharmaceutical pill to treat every conceivable condition, yet people lived long, healthy and productive lives. They were able to do so in a large part due to what had been found in nature throughout the generations. Increasingly, people wish to return to the natural, effective health alternatives that were once available. That is the need that MED MARIJUANA set out to fill in 1999.

What are they for?

As mentioned, We've developed a line of low-THC Cannabis Sativa products which have been used extensively in Canada since 2001. We all have our own metabolisms and unique dietary needs. During our research & development of these products, we discovered that vital components missing from modern diets were responsible in a large part for a number of serious health issues such as Heart Disease and autoimmune disorders. Our Cannabis Sativa GelCaps not only provide these key ingredients but provides them in a synergistic formulation that is maximized for bioavailability.

Our clients find that these components, when packed together in these ratios and concentrations provide a powerful healthl impact. Other products contain some of these ingredients in their chemical structures, for example Omega 3 oils can be found pressed from the carcasses of sharks and seals but the products themselves can be rancid, poor tasting and foul smelling, leaving their beneficial properties in doubt. Many recently are concerned as to toxic levels of heavy metals such as Mercury which they feel may be present in these fish oils.

It is interesting to note that the researchers have discovered & reported that supplementation with Omega-3 alone- as with their example of using fish oils for these purposes- actually has the effect of degrading the immune system and stimulating any auto-immune diseases that may be effecting the body at that time. This research study highlights the fact that any Omega supplementation must be of the complete Omega Profile, including GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid) or very undesirable consequences may result.

Who Uses The Gelcaps?

As we are distributed as a dietary supplement and not a drug, we have not have product specific, double-blind, placebo controlled studies done to prove the efficiacy of the product on any particular condition. As such, we cannot tell you what to expect in your particular circumstances through the use of the products, however we had a pretty good idea from over twenty five years of research on the Cannabis plant, exactly which aspects of our health would benefit from it.

Interestingly, our clients over the years have noticed health improvements exactly where we felt they would, as a natural anti-inflammatory to help relieve the symptomatic pain & swelling of arthritis for example. As well, we felt that that the ingredients Omega-3 (n-3) and Omega-6 (n-6) when used together would have a synergistic effect on immune response, boosting this system to allow our bodies to ward off viral and bacterial attacks and as well to increase the body’s capabilities of combating infection or disease that may already have been introduced. Our clients have reported postive improvements in their immune response as well.

Probably the most effective areas in which our Gelcaps have been used is with respect to the auto-immune disorders. Clearly there is much evidence to show that under well-controlled laboratory and dietary conditions fatty acid intake can have profound effects on autoimmune disease. The list of auto-immune diseases is unfortunately extensive and it is growing as new discoveries are made. There are close to 100 identified already- all deadly serious. Some of the more common ones are:

~ Multiple Sclerosis
~ Rheumatoid Arthritis
~ Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
~ Fibromyalgia
~ Psoriasis
~ Thyroid Diseases- hyper and hypo
~ Lupus
~ Sclerderma
~ Celiac Disease

So, while we can offer no guarantee's that our Natural Health Alternatives will work as well for you as they have for ten thousands of others, we invite you to review the material presented here and contact us for any further info that you may require to make what could turn out to be the most important decision of your life.
